Here is the OASIS report for VIN 2mehm75v93x646033:
    Build date:10/9/2002
    Wty start date:10/30/2002
    Purchased new in NM
It was black and had a CD changer, unsure of any other options.

Car totaled: xx/xx/xxxx (about 40k miles)

    Engine sold to "ts-pa": 07/10/2007
Engine will be going into my 2000 Grand Marquis

Check here for progress. My goal is to make a "sleeper" not a MM clone.

I cannot believe that it will cost $12-18k, as the going price of a MM, to do this.

I'd like to see front and rear pictures of car so I can see how the wheels fit. Side shot it looks great, but I'd like to see how the offset works. Or did you use spacers ?

    Here are the other pics.

I had posted which spacers that I had used here when I did the swap. I can read the info of the original box if someone needs the info.

Thanks, I got the spacers and wheels from gdmjoe here on this site back in 2005. I get a lot of stares and some ask if it is a MM. The ride is definately better. The old lacy rims were demoted to winter tire duty.

    Thanks for the well wishes.

I received kudos for this mod back in 2005. I feel like I'm double dipping in the praises!
The details: H&R Springs spacers , under "applications" search for a 2000 Mustang. There you will see in the listing a "DRM" type part number 05065705. BTW, a "kit" is for a pair of spacers.
I did have to shorten my existing wheel studs as the Marauder rims do not have recess on the mounting flange. I had to cut the unthreaded portion of the studs off. Keeping the lengths even as possible as not cause an imbalance. You could just have the studs replaced, but I didn't know that at that time.
I purchased the spacers and wheels from a member here named gdmjoe, good guy to deal with.

BTW ... Thank You ! for the kind words.

BTW-II ... You may want to get in contact with John Kuhl ( of John's Stereo ); is a hot rodder who has built his 1992 Marquis with a 2004 DOHC 4.6.

dont know if it helps any but ive taken 03 and up 4.6 PI motors and put them in the earlier chassis, and the only thing that was different was the oil pan, and the differance is so minute i didn't even notice till it wouldn't sit all the way down in the mounts. but the pan was a direct swap. ive done it a couple times now both ways , older motor newer car and newer motor older car, until you get into the electronic throttle, and even then the intake is a direct swap, i know the cop cars dont have the 32 valve motor but it shows that the chassis change in 03 isnt really a major issue

I think the car looks great, but wheel spacers scare me. I drive the car hard, and I'd always be wondering if they will let go. From what I remember with NHRA tech is that spacers are not allowed, and that's going straight!
    I still love the look

PSG--Thanks for the info. I hope that it will be that simple.

larryo340--I can certainly understand your concern. I once hit a boulder protruding at the road edge while going about 40mph. It was either hit the rock or the idiot hogging the road head on. Anyway, it was quite the hit. Killed the tire by breaking the radial cords. Knocked my alignment off, but no visible wheel or spacer damage. I'm convinced that if you get a good product, you don't need to worry so much. I also drive in a spirited fashion , I've had no problems in the past two years.

    Good luck.

I think you should look into buying a Marauder.
