"New" used cobra heads got delivered today. Had no clue they were coming with the cobra manifolds as well. I removed the manifolds and looked the heads over. Either going to take them and get hot tanked or just spend the day with degreaser cleaning them up.

From my understanding, yes slickster, any "authorized" Ford/Lincoln/Mercury service center will accept & honor this promotion. To be honest, when I checked in the Marauder at the service desk, I didn't even have any printed coupons or the like; the "Service Adviser" offered my mom and I the promotion right off the bat, it was already in their computer system!

Little do they know, if I had to pay full price, I had Mike Rowe tied up in the trunk! :P

Well yesterday I began pressure washing all underneath the BP74i successfully, today i'm finishing spraying all underneath my Panther with a mix of Diesel with transmission fluid, that keeps out the dirty to stick to surface and parts and plus add lubrication to moving parts and protect from corrosion, pics are taken but due that i cannot post pics as I done before (still don't understand why) I cannot post'em in my thread, some day i will discover the problem.

Zim,

If the AC was working fine, your HVAC box is okay. (under the dashboard)
I had my box replaced because the doors would get hung during their transitioning.

We have several sources for o-rings and can fix it ourselves.

Had the car for about 2 months now. Put the car up on jacks. Got under it and drained the oil. It was an EZ job. Just don't like when you take off the oil filter that every thing gets wet with oil. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO KEEP IT CLEAN WHEN REMOVING THE OIL FILTER. The clean up took the longest getting the oil off of the crossmember and some other stuff. Also noticed that the bottom shock bolt was not on all the way so pulled out the impac wrench and tighten that nut up. Took the car for a test drive then put her away.

Ford used to sell a clip on oil tray/diverter that clipped to the P/S lines to direct the oil away from that area. Maybe check with your local dealer. Mine has been on and working for years.

You've got me confused on the issue MENINBLK!

The A/C was blowing cold air, but on certain situations like hard acceleration, it would start to blow from the defroster and floor vents... I thought that could either be the EATC or the "HVAC" box... am I mistaken?

As mentioned earlier, I know the o-ring issue could be repaired by the community here, notabilityy fastblackmerc, but I still have the Ford Premium ESP which covered the cost 100%. :)

Premium Care still has a deductible unless you paid for the deductible waiver.
That deductible was $100 and it cost way more than $100 to pay for that option.

Under HARD ACCELERATION is when you LOSE your vacuum.
If the EATC o-rings are scored or cracked, they will bleed
what little vacuum is left in the system or they may bleed all of it.
Your system will blow cold, just not in the direction you want it.
Just like you experienced with the Defroster and Floor vents
instead of the dash vents.
Vacuum is used to extend or retract the door actuators inside the "box".

The HVAC BOX problem is something different.
The mixer door and the transition door get hung inside the "box"
because the "box" warps.
Sometimes you will hear the door rub or snap as it moves inside the "box".
This is a common problem with CV/GM/Marauder.
The only fix for this is to replace the entire "box".
I had this done on my Marauder as well.

When the "box" is replaced, please make sure they use all NEW gaskets.
They reused the upper gasket on mine and it ended up shrinking
and causing a water leak into my interior during a hard rain.
The rear seat footwell would collect water from it.

I have the disappearing-deductible, so the cost is $0.00 for any work done covered by the Ford Premium ESP. There is no doubt, I "pre-paid" for the plan benefit, but I have found the plan worth it, especially when you consider that I'm having the work done at an authorized Ford dealer w/ genuine Ford parts, plus I count on the "free" rentals when the Marauder is in for service and/or repair, that way, I'm never w/out a car. :)

As for your explanation regarding the o-rings, thanks for the detailed explanation, it makes more sense to me now, much appreciated MENINBLK!

And a nice trip around town, then brought it back home and put the cover back on it.

Cleaned up the mess some goon left when he tossed my car.

Guess he was looking for cash as nothing was missing. Dashdaq was left behind dangling ripped from it's spot on the air vent. Mistaken for a cheap GPS as I planned I'd bet.

Door lock seems to have separated from it's motor, so I clicked the remote to lock the door and forgot to check the drivers door. :(

Gotta fix that door and get the garage clean.

June 2011 had to replace both front wheel bearing/hubs on my father's 2006 Dodge Dakota p/u. Other than dealer the only place that offered replacements was NAPA, ordered & installed. He called me last week that the left one was making noise again. So he came to visit this weekend so I could check it out. Both sides shot again! OEM lasted 5yrs & 130,000 miles. These "quality" NAPA units lasted 14 months (with a 12 month warranty!!! :mad2:). Picked up new ones from O'Rielly with 3-year warranty!

He ended up leaving with:

Both new front wheel bearing/hubs
Right lower ball joint
Both outer tie rod ends
Front brakes
Water pump
Lube, oil, filter & full service
Sheesh! It never ends! :shake:

Did you torque the hub nut to factory specs? If not it WILL fail again. Also, we use Timken bearings, they are made here in the states, we have never had one fail.

Does not have hub nut, 2wd.

At the time only suppliers for part was dealer & NAPA. No Timken option. Now you can get Timken unit from AutoZone but have to special order. No time for that. O'Riley's 3yr warranty was satisfactory to me.

Had the trunk lid aligned. For some reason the trunk lid had shifted over to the passenger side leaving a much wider space on the drivers side. I could almost see into the interior of the trunk. The tail lights were also askew. Dealer body shop fixed it at no charge.

Now I can go 140 MPH with less wind drag, sure I can, LOL.
Our SB did this too. Did your body shop guy have any ideas why the truck spontaneously moved?

Today i had the drivers and passenger windows tinted limo black to match the back windows. It great driving when nobody can see you, of course i cant roll my windows down for 3 to 5 days witch sucks. Also installed the accufab twin 60mm throttle body, but havent been able to test drive due to rain.

Picked up the pair of the Firehawk Wide Oval AS rear tires (OEM size), to match the fronts (OEM size) I put on last week. Couldn't pass up, for the price, $ 143.00 per tire. They're sitting in the storage unit till the BFG's wear out.

Went over to Justbob's motorsports and got the old cut-outs removed and put the new badlandz on. Add some turn downs and the frickin car got louder!

Hooked up my boost gauge and fixed the light on the oil gauge. Add the front aluminum screen mesh when the car was in the air. She is running good. Will be cleaning her up for MV 10 in the next day or two.

So I replaced the HID harness again - DDM Tuning one is miles better than the one I bought locally; the new relay is completely sealed, no plug to get shorted out or anything.

While installing the new harness and relocating everything, I found this thing, which was just dangling below the air box. Any ideas what it is? the hose it's tied to is going somewhere under the airbox but I can't quite see where, I'll try and look again under light. It just says MARAUDER on it, and there is a hose attached shooting out towards the top of the pic, and an unplugged hole on the side - to the right in the pic below.

It's a muffler for the air compressor.

Had some time at work yesterday, so I took care of a few things on the MM. Changed the oil and filter, full synthetic 10W30 and a MC 820. Machined the front rotors, new pads and hardware, cleaned out the pins and lubed. Balanced the front tires (which I wish I could replace, crappy pirellis) Also changed the fuel filter (old one was BAD, believe it was the original). Cleaned out the TB and intake, ran some BG cleaner through the fuel injectors. Flushed the power steering system, cleaned out, and filled with synthetic fluid. Next up is a plug change, trans pan drop and filter change, then a flush, and change the gear oil. Gettin there as I have time!

My OEM WW tank turned into a methanol tank this spring. After a couple of short road trips I find I miss my washers, methanol and paint don't play well together.

Got it mocked up and painted today, (yes paint, time is short for SSHS among other things) waiting for a new pump and I'll do pics.

Meanwhile, took the interior out and re-routed all the pre-amp and speaker wires hoping to get rid of the occasional alternator whine.

In High School, a friend of mine converted his WW tank into a "Car Bar":

Cleaned the tank, routed the hose to under the dash and filed it with JD.

Hit the washer and fill the glass.

It's still a miracle that I lived through High School.............
