Drove it to work only to find out that the rear end cover is seeping after turning 74k.
Roy do you know of any recalls or tsb's reguarding coil spring breakage?
Has anyone discovered coil spring breakage on their M.M.'S?
Thanks!

The only program/recall for the front coil springs was for the Taurus/Sable registered in the Northern states.
I think Big House had the same issue.

Thanks for the info. I wonder how many folks are riding around with broken springs?
I've also replaced both front hub assemblies to eliminate noise & vibration.
A mechanic at a Ford Dealership advised me that the right front bearing wears
out before the left one. Have you experienced this?
Thanks again !

As long as it is sprayed onto a surface that has a clearcoat or complete smooth (non pourus) surface it can be completely removed without any damage to the surface it was sprayed on. The road salt is the main reason why I did, I wanted to do it earlier in the winter season but just never had the time. I'll be doing my stock MM wheels in the next few weeks. I'll also be doing the front grille, rear trunk chrome trim and all the badging on the trunk of my Taurus.

Today I visit Ford central dealer and parts to buy the remote/transmitter but BP74I reject the remote three times and then the retailer tried wit a one foe the Mercury Grand marquis and... ! WA-LA ! it work BP74I accept the new remote this changes all the retailer tell me that he look in the system and for the model, year and vin number the part # appear as 8S4Z-15K601-A which supposed to replace 2L2T-15K601-BA which is the number of the remote/transmitter that comes with BP74I (2000 CVLX-HPP) and the following is most strange also, the package appears 3W7Z-15K601-AA and the part number in the remote appears as 3W73-15K601-AA, weird not ? but now I have a new and functional remote (check my thread for more info plus pics dedicated to BP74I) well after that I visit Pep-Boys to take advantage of a clearance sale on all Powerbuilt tools at 50% off the original prices and this was my face after see those low prices  and but a new Sylvania bulbs more stronger in illumination than the Silverstars and ultras the Silverstar ZXE (HID Xenon fueled) when I test it I will post the results, later I visit Auto zone to take advantage of an special of Mobil 1 extended Performance 5W-30 engine oil 5qts and a mobil 1 extended performance oil filter for 34.99 so I buy for two oil changes but I have to buy two qts more cause the capacity is 6qts so I will be very busy, now excuse me I have a lot of work to do later mangs.

I went to 5 different stores this week and none of them had the 5W-30 high mileage 5 qt jug in stock or they just didn't carry it and I didn't feel like spending $40 for 6 qt single bottles. So just grabbed the normal 5W-30 jug and I'll through in some Luscas oil stabilizer.

Farm and Fleet has 12 bottle cases of Citgo synthetic blend for $30. I like Mobil 1 full synthetic, but at $37 for only 6 bottles, it's hard to justify it. Especially when I change the oil so often.

I usually get the 5 qt jug from Wal-Mart for $22-23, now they raised the price up to $26-27 per jug, I usually buy two at a time so all I have to do is buy one jug for the next 5 oil changes and just use 1 qt out of the spare jug for 6 qts.
I just couldn't find any of the 5W-30 high mileage jugs at the different Wal-Marts I went to and Advance/Auto Zone don't carry the jug of it, just single quarts. Depending on how it runs with using 5W-30 and the Lucas I may not even bother trying to track down some for my next oil change and just stick with the regular syn mobil 1 5W-30.

Started off by installing my new dead pedal.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/blackened300a/fe0643bd.jpg
Then removed my fan assembly and pulleys to clean my front timing cover of that crappy discolored paint that was killing the look of my engine.
Here's a sample of what the paint looked like and how it should look.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/blackened300a/fc688982.jpg
I used a soft paint thinner, simple green, SOS pad, small detail brushes, and a lot of elbow grease to get it looking clean and show quality again.
http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d12/blackened300a/4946eb73.jpg
I also shined up the bolt heads, belt tensioner, cleaned the pulleys and cleaned up any small dirt pockets before I installed the pulleys back on the engine. Big difference in appearance and I'm happy to get rid of that crappy paint.

WE mocked up the spoiler and located the holes, drilled the holes in the rear deck punched the location for the inside panel of the trunk , drilled the inside access holes so I could get at the bolts that hold the spoiler on. installed the spoiler. Lightly compounded and polished the spoiler and trunk lid. Then took my wife to lunch. It was a great day.

I felt like I had some torques steer, the car pulled. To the right under even the slightest acceleration and to the left when I let off completely on the highway. It also has a slight driveline vibration during the change from acceleration to coasting. I figured it was my control arm bushings. I contacted Metco for replacements and they told me it was most likely the upper control arms(smaller bushings than lower). I ordered replacement bushings, delrin outers and urethane inners. All the bushings we stretched, but the driver's side rear bushings were broken.

Tape bleed, over spray, adhesive stuck on the car, and to top it off, the paint didnt sit uniform after spending 6 hours of masking and painting so add another 3 hours of removing the stuff, then compounding, then waxing and then picking out adhesive in between the trim for 2 hours and I'm still not done.
Trim bright tape or leave it alone. :mad2:

Whatever you do don't ever buy maskng tape at the little neck hardware store. Bug spray and garbage cans, yes, tape no way.
Don't ask.
I'll check out trim brite. Crap ass subaru's paint job chipping off the bumpers. Gunna scrap what I can and cover it up with plasti dip rather than screw with stripping the paint.
